No matter how flawless your skin are, you still have to take care of it!

I was posting to my facebook about my new blog, then my dear friend text me, and she said that she want to have consultation with me about her skin. duh~ perhaps she thinks I'm a dermatologist haha! Anyway, she said that she want to start taking care of her skin because her skin is dull now. She never used any mosturizer, and I shocked. Like "whaaaat?" She thinks that its okay not to use any treatment or moisturizer because her skin is normal, no acne nor any important problem.
So my dear friend, no matter how normal or flawless your skin are, you still have to take care of it!

At least do this basic routine:
1. Cleanse
So you just got home from work, college, or school, and you feel tired after a full day of activities. All you wanna do just sit back, relax, watch tv or read a book or maybe straight to bed. But ladies, I warn you, DON'T! You feel tired which means your skin feel tired too. After all the make up, pollution, and dirty air, your skin has the right to relax too! The make up and dirt will clog your pores which can lead to acne or dull skin. Its okay to relax for a while, but do not forget to cleanse your face before go to bed. Clean your skin 1-2 times a day, in the morning and before you go to bed.

2. Tone
This step, some people agree that it is important step on your daily routine, but some don't. But, I personally believe that tone your skin is good to enhance the cleansing, refresh your skin, or maybe hydrate it. It's depend on what toner that you used.

3. Moisturize
Whatever your skin type are, you always need to moisturize. Its like food to your skin. Choose moisturizer that suits your skin type, cause every skin type need different moisturizer. For you, oily skin people, do not think that you have oily skin than you don't need moisturizer. That is sooo wrong. Of course we still need food, we just need the lighter one. Choose water based moisturizer or any moisturizer intended for oily skin. Apply moisturizer on a clean face, in the morning and before sleep.

4. Exfoliate
We need to exfoliate all that dead skin, so our skin can renew it cells. Do it at least once a week. For you who has normal skin, you can use a regular facial scrub that contains sugar, coffee scrub, or etc. and for you who has oily or acne prone skin, you can use gel peeling, its smoother so won't harsh your sensitive skin.

That just the basic routine, if you have problemed skin like me, of course you need extra effort to have glowing beautiful skin.

REVIEW: The Body Shop Peppermint Intensive Foot Rescue

Halo!

Are you having the same problem as mine ? dry and cracked heels ? well, I feel ya ladies! About 8 months ago, I was move back to my hometown which got hotter and drier weather. and voila! I got dry and cracked heels just like that. At first, I didn't give a damn cause honestly, I was too lazy to add one more routine before my bedtime. But it got worse and worse and I can't stand it. It was so annoying.
Then I bought a local foot cream called "Kanna". It works and cheap. It did get better, but only a little, then got worse. I kept my searching of foot cream then I decided to bought "Gehwol" that oh dear God, so expensive. and not really works. and then I meet this sweet-soft-pink foot cream from The Body Shop.

About the Product

So, this is the cream in Peppermint-foot-range from The Body Shop. It comes in a 100ml soft-pink tube. The website said that:
"For feet in need of TLC. This overnight moisture-booster works on hard skin and dry heels.
Softens hard skin, Rehydrates dry heels, Helps to combat odour"
 The claim on the product:
"Smoothing Community Trade cocoa butter, peppermint oil, and grape acids, soften hard skin
and help prevent dry cracked heels"

Simply apply it on your foot, especially problemed area, before you go to bed, and put on your socks to lock the moisture. Leave it overnight.

My Thoughts
I can say that the texture is light but rich  It is heavier than lotion but lighter than body butter. When you applied it on your skin, it felt a little greasy at first but it doesn't took a long time to absorped, so the greasy feeling will gone. I love the peppermint scent, its not so strong but give you calming and refreshing feeling. and the next day, I take off my socks and felt my heels were really soft and moist like a baby butt :3
I used it every night for 1 week and I can see the result. My heel got softer, and not cracked anymore. Well, not 100% gone, but it did got better a loooot. and now, the crack just goooone!
My better heel after I used this product
So sorrrrryyy I put my ugly foot here, but i wanna show you that my heels did got better. Just a  little cracked left (i hope you can see it). It was worse before, like 5 times worse!

Since my heels got better, now, I only use it 1-2 times a week. But when I feel like it started cracked again, then I apply it everyday. Just use it as you need.

Packaging: 3 of 5
Nothing special about the packaging. I love the soft-pink and blue combination on the tube. Nothing annoyed me, just normal.

Efficacy: 4.5 of 5
I gotta say that this is a good product cause it really works aaand in a short time. I mean I didn't have to wait like months or weeks to see the result. Compared to other products that only expensive but did nothing, this TBS Peppermint Intensive Foot Rescue was did a goood job!

Value: 4. of 5
I bought this for IDR 159k in TBS counter. With this efficacy and the fact that when we applied, the product goes a long way so I assume that it will long last. Maybe more than a year ? :D So worth the price.

Repurchase?
Yes! but not any time soon cause I still have 2/3 of it :)

Overall Rating: 4 of 5
