REVIEW: Silkygirl Pure Fresh Gel Makeup Remover

Membersihkan sisa makeup di wajah sebelum tidur sangat penting agar kulit bisa beristirahat dan bernafas bebas. Kebetulan aku abis nyoba satu produk dari negara tetangga yang karena baru dan harganya murah aku jadi sedikit memandang sebelah mata. 
Setelah lihat postingan Alodita di instagramnya tentang Moisture Boost Lip Balm dari Silkygirl, aku jadi tertarik untuk main ke counter Silkygirl. Aku coba-coba warnanya, quite nice sih, cuma aku memutuskan untuk nggak beli karena i'm short in cash, dan lagi nggak butuh lipbalm, dan sedang berusaha berpikir dengan logika saat belanja, so~ ahaha. Anyway, pas lagi coba-coba warna lipbalm itu aku dikasih remover ini untuk bersihin bibir aku dari segala warna lipbalm yang telah aku coba dan malah aku jatuh cinta sama remover ini. Ditambah lihat label harganya yang nempel, dan makeup remover aku kebetulan sedang habis. Jadilah aku beli satu.

Untuk penggunaannya bisa ditaruh di kapas secukupnya, lalu usapkan pada mata, alis, atau bibir. Nah hebatnya, remover ini tidak hanya untuk mata dan bibir tapi juga wajah. Kalau untuk wajah, oleskan langsung ke wajah secara merata, lalu usap pakai kapas atau bilas dengan air. 

My Thoughts

First, I love the tangerine smell that came out of it. Meskipun agak kaya sabun mandi wanginya tapi aku suka hehe. Teksturnya berbentuk gel, namun tidak terlalu rich. Aku gabisa bilang teksturnya gel, karena jika dibandingkan dengan gel makeup remover dari Sephora, remover dari Silkygirl ini jauh lebih ringan. Tekstur watery-nya masih berasa. Jadi bisa dibilang teksturnya diantara gel dan watery liquid. Very light.

Bisa dilihat di foto di atas, kalau ditaruh di tangan lalu dibalik, produk ini tidak langsung tumpah, tapi jika didiamkan agak lama dia run out.

Oke, untuk experience produknya, aku pake gel remover ini untuk membersihkan makeup mata, alis, dan bibir. Remover ini bisa membersihkan eyebrow, eye shadow, dan lipstick in one swipe. Tapi kalo untuk lip tint, eyeliner, dan mascara mesti diusap beberapa kali biar bisa bersih. Nah, yang aku suka dari remover ini adalah how my skin felt after i apply this remover. Rasanya lebih soft dan less oily dibanding eye make up remover lain seperti Maybelline.

Di packagingnya ditulis kalau ini bisa untuk membersihkan makeup pada seluruh wajah, aku udah cobain juga dan sebenernya lumayan bisa angkat sisa makeup sih, tapi entah kenapa aku berasa nggak yakin. Jadi aku pakai Cuma untuk remove eye and lips makeup aja.

Packaging-nya oke, menggunakan clear tube yang memudahkan kita untuk melihat produknya masih banyak atau udah hampir habis. Cuma kemasannya agak terlalu besar jadi tidak travel friendly.

Kalau untuk efficacy, aku bilang ini standart sih. Well, dengan harga yang murah kita gabisa expect kualitas yang super. Tapi lagi, after-apply-feeling-nya yang bikin aku beli ini.

Aku beli remover ini dengan harga IDR 36k (kalau ga salah) dan dengan ukuran 150mL. Which is sangat tinggi value-nya karena dengan harga murah, dapet ukuran yang bisa dibilang besar dan efficacy yang lumayan.

Kesimpulannya, I would recommend this to you if you are on budget and can’t or won’t afford a high end makeup remover.

REVIEW: NYX HD Eye Shadow Base

Halo! 

Have you heard about this eye shadow base? I bought this eye shadow base after I decided not to go to the beauty salon in my graduation day. Cause you know, sometimes they just put a thick foundation and powder, eye shadow, and a drama-unnatural look-lashes. But since the graduation event will be held in the middle of a hot day, so i was looking for a trick in order to make my make up -especially my eye shadow- stay still. Then I read many positive reviews about this eye shadow base, so i gave it a try.

About the product

It is an eye shadow base from NYX HD range that will make the eye shadow looks better and long last. The official of NYX Website said that:

"Prep your eyelids with this lightweight eye shadow primer that makes skin appear smoother, more even toned, and ensures lasting makeup application. The High Definition Eye Shadow Base conceals creases and pumps up the vibrancy of your eye shadow."

Simply take a little amount of the product and spread it to all over your eyes, from eyelashes to eyebrow. Wait for a moment so it can dry, then apply your eye shadow and eye liner after.

My thoughts

The formula is lightweight, so it is easy to apply and blend. Although I have an oily skin, it did not crease or became more oily at all. A little product goes a long way, in fact, if you put too much it will be oily and take a longer time to dry. I think it does make my skin smoother and even toned. It helped the eye shadow color out.

Can you see the different ? The eye shadow color without the base is not as intense as the one which use the base. It also easily erased with tissue, unlike the one with base under it.  

I have a naked 2 eye palette, and I think that everyone agree that naked is good. But without any primer, I always thought that I was wasting money because no matter how beautiful the colors are in the palette, I never had the same when I applied it on my crease. But now, after I owned this, I take back my statement. ha!

It comes with applicator, so we don't have to put our finger to take the product out. More hygene for sure. Oh, and I always love black color on make up packaging. It looks professional and elegant. So, eventhough nothing special about the packaging but I just love it. Simple.

I have to say that this is a good product cause it proofs their brand claims. It did a really good job. The eye shadow color was really pop out (as you can see above). My eye shadow was stay still after I walk in the morning, looking for the company's building where I took my interview test, then I have to run to catch the bus in the middle of a hot-sweaty-day. Not only that, It also still looks fabulous after my five-hours-without-AC-graduation-event (again, in the middle of a hot-sweaty-day)! ta-da!

I bought it for around IDR 120k from an online shop (cause I can't found it in the NYX counter both in my town and hometown). With this efficacy, and the price that not so expensive, I have to say that NYX HD Eye Shadow Base has high value. Compare to the great but expensive Primer Potion by Urban Decay, this is better. Especially if you're on a budget but still want a good product. Whether you're wearing make up every day or not, It still a good investment!
